Anna Goyette

Anna graduated in May 2025 from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Honors Psychology. Her criminal justice capstone explored the neurological impacts of incarceration on youth and how these effects influence post-release outcomes. Prior to joining the Justice Collaboratory, Anna was involved in multiple projects, including advancing research on Anti-Muslim sentiment and hate crime policy at the University of Arkansas, examining trauma and resilience among injured and non-injured veterans at the Leadership Fitness Lab at the National Defense University, and identifying the neural mechanisms underlying social learning at the Developmental Neuroscience Lab at George Washington University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and criminal justice, with a particular focus on moral injury, PTSD, and trauma-informed interventions that support decarceration and foster healthier communities
